Tim Brown Mentor Mini Camp for Fatherless Boys |
The Tim Brown Mentor Mini Camp for Fatherless Boys, was established in 1999 to address the devastating effects of "fatherless families." This annual event led by Tim Brown, and hosted by the CHP at its Academy in Sacramento during May each year matches 100 disadvantaged boys, 10-19 years of age, to a CHP officer who serves as their a mentor dad. Mentor and mentee participate in a football training camp just like the pros. The event assists boys absent a father in their homes and urban children who can benefit from encouragement and guidance from a caring adult.
